The geographic center of Texas is definitely a seldom-visited spot, and the name sounds impressive. However, do not expect so much as there is nothing except a commemorative plaque and a small park. Still, if you like challenges, it's worth going to!

This is a small park, but if you are sentimental about being a Texan this is a must stop. Climb the stairs to the tower, look over the beauty of Central Texas, clap 4 times, and sing out loud 'Deep in the Heart of Texas!!'. Now, you can say you are a true Texan.

A must see for Texans! I grew up in Copperas Cove which is not far east of the Center. The marker is not the actual center, but it has great info and the best photo op.

Why? Why not. Kind of cool to be able to say you’ve been to the center of Texas. Not much to see but the view was worth the brief stop.

Texas is big on roadside plaques. This one marks the closest the public can get to the geographical center of Texas. That's about as exciting as it sounds! But if you're driving by here, you can stop and take a picture to prove it.

The Geographical Center of Texas marker is located just north of Brady but the actual site is on private property about 5 miles from where this marker is located. Still it's worth while to visit this location out in the middle of nowhere. A few hundred feet south of the marker is Heart of Texas Park nestled atop a small hill. There are picnic benches and trash cans and a nice size parking area here at the park to enjoy with family or friends. There is also an observation deck to climb and view the beautiful scenery from all directions. This is a must stop for historical enthusiasts out there!

There isn't much here besides a small park and a platform you can go see for miles. I mean don't get me wrong it's cool, but it just doesn't seem like there's a lot of fanfare. I spent 10 minutes there.

Significant landmark/pointer noting the center of Texas. Its located near Brady( the city which notes itself as "Heart of Texas). Its 30mins drive from Brady and can be reached via San Saba as well (Its bit farther from San Saba).
There's also a park located next to the landmark which has resting area/picnic park.
Its located in middle of nowhere so the nearest gas station is located either in Brady/San saba.
It feels great to visit this geographical landmark. #HappyTravelling
