I want to start off the review by sharing my appreciation for the customer service that I received from Justin the store manager. I needed assistance with a refund and Justin went above and beyond to help me. I am truly grateful for the service that he provided to me and he answered all my questions that I needed to ask. Guitar center has always been so good to me and I appreciate their hard work and friendly service that they provide. Justin, thank you again for helping me and keep up the wonderful work you are doing helping others. He was also very understanding of my situation and I appreciate him for that.

Nice shop, but to be honest i expected more stuff. I work in simillar shop in little town in little EU country but we have much more american guitars and accesories than here ? also i felt like nobody really cares that they have a customer. But store itself looks nice and there is available parking for customers.

Spent 1h in the store playing a few acoustic guitars. $3k in my pocket ready to spend and no one asked me if I needed help. When I approached the till asking for the price of a guitar I really love, the person seating behind the till told me “I don’t work here” and pointed to another guy that asked me to bring the guitar to scan…

The store has a good stock and competitive prices but I didn’t feel the customer service was anything special, pretty much a “help yourself” attitude and not very welcoming.

Training your staff to look after visitors is crucial, will probably end up buying somewhere else.

I’d like to share my experience I had at GC West LA at the Pico/Westwood store. I’m a beginner or rather yet to take my first guitar lesson soon. I needed a good beginner guitar that would carry me into intermediate and beyond. I was lucky to have the help of Zoe from the center to help me decide on the right guitar. She was attentive, helpful and cheerful answering my questions. All great attributes for sales and customer service. I left feeling good about my purchases. I got a great guitar and gig bag both on sale and was able save a couple of hundred dollars. Once I get some time under my belt, I’ll be back to collect some accessories.

Called to find out if they have a bass in stock -- everyone who answered the phone was super nice, so this review isn't for the customer service reps. This is for the fact that the phone system kept automatically transferring me every five minutes, so I had to keep explaining what I was waiting for to new people. I was on hold off and on for nearly 25 minutes just for them to tell me that the instrument I was looking for, which says "in stock" on the website, is actually not in stock at all. Glad I called, but also what an annoying experience. Fix your phones! Fix your website! Wow.

Huge catalog of gear. Staff is super friendly and helpful. They'll help you to their best ability. They didn't have the guitar i was looking but a staff member then proceeded to help me find the best possible alternative for half an hour. The workers have to deal with lots of annoying and entitled people and calls every day. Please try to not be one of those annoyances.
