Such an amazing practice! Michelle and Katie greet you and manage the administrative process with such efficiency! DR. MAY, Chiropractor; DR. GHATE, Physical Therapist; and Diana Charde, Therapeutic Masseuse; are all personable, reassuring, and expert in their knowledge and treatments! They all provide hope and support to relief, healing, and gaining a great outcome! This is simply an outstanding team of professionals and I have great optimism for my recovery from an auto accident.

Sentara has been buying off many small mom and pop facilities which included my physician's office. My NP referred me Sentara PT facility and of course I didn't think twice as they called me to scheduled an appointment. I was 3 Mo Postpartum and needed help with health issues and of course I was in a vulnerable state.

Long story short, I was billed for over $2000 for FOUR sessions (one hour each) AFTER insurance. Upon evaluating, I found out that SENTARA charged 10 times more than other local facilities.
The fact is, that of course the charges are correct and I can't do anything about it because they just have bigger negotiation power with insurances and that's what they have agreed upon (to charge for each treatment/scheduled code) 1000% more than other facilities. There was no way for me to know how much they would charge beforehand so I was completely blindsided. I only discontinues the service and pretty much lied to the PTist that my symptoms were gone because I was uncomfortable not knowing how much I would owe and I somehow had a gut feeling I shouldn't continue. So I am now left with $2600 debt and unsolved postpartum health issues.

It's so frustrating that patients like me are the biggest victims and (it's win win for both Sentara and the insurance) I can't do anything about it but pay. This is really the epitome of American corrupt healthcare system.

I am planning to go public with media about this issue and also tell everyone around me to avoid any facilities that are afficilate with this hospital.

Recently, my primary care physician referred me to the Sentara Therapy Center -Century. Over the course of the next eight weeks, I worked with the team of Dr Sushanth Kashyap, Dr Mrunmayee Ghate and Shaena Campos. They quickly identified the issues I had and then developed and executed a series of exercises to start me on the road to recovery. All three medical professionals were courteous, caring and sincerely interested in improving my condition. I highly recommend them to anyone requiring physical therapy. They are top flight caregivers!!! Would not hesitate to return to them if I have any more problems.

Awesome care! Grateful for both doctors who are amazing, personable and give you their full attention to meeting your needs and improving your quality of life! Very friendly and safe environment. Great Providers and Staff - I was afraid of going to a chiropractor, but Dr. May is so down to earth and takes time to talk with you about your issues and working together to help solve them. Hubby and I both are patients. I also go to the Rehab provider - Punith - he is great at what he does as well. After hand surgery, it was nice to have someplace close to be able to go and do 2 things in the same place. Way to go Sentara!
