I recently had the pleasure of taking acrobatic flying lessons from Chad Barber, and I was thoroughly impressed with his level of skill and knowledge. Not only is he a highly experienced pilot, but he is also a gifted teacher who is able to explain complex maneuvers in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
What really stood out to me, however, was Chad’s humility. Despite his obvious talent and expertise, he never came across as arrogant or dismissive. Instead, he was always patient and willing to answer any questions I had, and he was constantly looking for ways to improve my technique.
I would highly recommend Chad Barber to anyone looking to improve their acrobatic flying skills. He is not only a skilled and knowledgeable instructor, but also a humble and dedicated teacher who truly cares about helping his students succeed.

I had a great experience with Chad. I asked him to assist me with an aircraft purchase that involved a ferry flight as well as my initial proficiency training in a (new to me) Skybolt. His patient ability to find flexible solutions for our work was perhaps one of the most valued parts of our relationship. I found this quality to be hard to find in my search for services. Chad is a smart, skilled, and well experienced aviator with a strong professional quality that will continue to bring him success in the future. Chad is a true professional. His calm demeanor and ability to thoroughly explain and demonstrate make for an excellent learning environment. I needed dual time in my new Skybolt and Chad got me spun up quickly with some excellent ground handling drills, 3 point and wheel landings, power off approaches, acro, spins, etc. 3 days of solid training and I feel very comfortable and know my personal limits and always have the "go around" available if it doesn't look right doesn't feel right. No shame in keeping the ego in check! Thanks Chad

Chad Barber very kindly agreed to complete my spin training as I required an endorsement. Chad was waiting for my arrival with everything ready to go. After an informative ground lesson, Chad did an excellent preflight brief and was very professional throughout the flight. I had the best possible experience in aerobatics and upset recovery training flying with Chad Barber; a great and professional instructor pilot with tons of experience he is happy to share. I've been a GA pilot for 20 years and getting aerobatic instruction from Chad was one of the most delightful experiences I've ever had. He is professional, a skilled and competent aviator, and focuses on you and your experience above all else.
We spent several days flying the Extra 300 together, and his approach to teaching--both on the ground and in the air--was super intuitive and well-paced. His focus on starting with the fundamentals and progressively introducing complexity was very conducive to my learning, and as a result I'm much more confident with exploring the performance envelope of my plane and being better equipped to handle upset recoveries. I also had a blast learning a myriad of aerobatic maneuvers and concepts from Chad!
Lastly, we need more people like Chad in this industry: entrepreneurial, dedicated to promoting aviation in various contexts, and genuinely focused on providing the best service.
Can't wait to fly with him again!
