I showed up with my wife and my son to sign my wife up for some english classes. As soon as the elevator opened, the supervisor- she announced herself as the supervisor- said the kid can't be here. Furthermore, she went on to say if you want english classes you should show up at 8am or 4pm as the place opens at 9am and 5pm. The supervisor did not even have the courtesy to say "hello, welcome, or how may we assist you" before asking us to leave. She could've easily been empathic and say unfortunately, registration for the class is closed however yada yada yada. If thats the service you get from the supervisor, I can only imagine the service from the employees. Needless to say we wont be returning.

Update: I appreciate this place. I'm sooo glad that I found it. They put my bf into school and he's going to school proudly. At first I thought it was the actual building but it was the building across the street from the school. Since the first test he couldn't take it bc of the id situation, he needs to get hisself a valid ID. Glad we went here because we wouldn't know what to do. The first school frustrated me bc there was no email from a teacher where the right location is at.

Great teachers they good at what they do for they students on a daily basis. They help you get where you are stuck with and make sure to continue to help you till you get it and when it's time to move on up they job has been completed and they get new students trips are made they also help with jobs and resume they work with you when you have your appointments, or when you working but reporting to them is mandatory so you don't lose your seat in class. Whether your disability they work with you , my main issue be that elevator every once and awhile it starts to break down and not easy for walkers and or wheelchairs to get upstairs. But other than that the teachers are amazing the principal the assistant principal all the staff there are great. No problems since I first started back last summer.

It's a great g.e.d school they have morning classes and night classes, so it's good for anybody who wants to attend the school during morning or night. The teachers and staff are very calm and helpful for anybody needs.

Holidays they are closed. But they are very good in that school. I have had no issues at all. Since i first got there. So yes they do deserve a 5 star. The staff are very respectful to all they students. They help you to get better. 21 and over all you need is your notebooks pens pencils and any form of state ID with picture and valid proof of address.

This is the best place to attend and acquire knowledge for your career. I did not attend high school here but now I can boldly say been in this school has helped me a lot. Thank you Miss Henry and Mr. James for been a wonderful teachers. In fact you both are great assets to this school.

I used to go to school here back in I believe 2014 or 2015. I left the school because I wanted to focus on only one subject at the time which was my math and they had all students retake every class again for all 5 subjects for the TASC Exam, which was very aggravating because it felt like a waste of my time focusing on these other subjects I already passed, when the one I needed to focus on was only the math to get my diploma. So, I hope they made some major changes with this because the environment is great, the teachers were good but the method of students needing which subject to pass the TASC Exam needs improvement.

I took my TASC Exams at CUNY Lehman College and passed becauseI left this school to go to Grace Outreach because they are the only school at the time for HSE diploma that allows students to focus on ONLY the SUBJECT they need (Which was Great! and VERY POSITIVE Environment). Its an all women's school but they said back in 2017 that they were in the process of opening a school up for men too (Call to find out from their website online). If this school is not for you, then try Grace Outreach (they help with jobs too). BUT NEVER TRY Union Settlement Association they are only interested in obtaining funding and not caring about its students and I left them because of this.

So, good luck to all the students. I was here and did very well but later left to Grace Outreach where I Graduated and entered there College Prep Program and got into College and graduated, and I went into another college and graduated and now looking into Graduate School now for my masters and/or PhD. So, if I can do it anyone can and I failed the TASC Exam like 5 times. So NEVER GIVE UP! YOU CAN DO IT!! 🙂
