Très vieillissant ce muséum qui aurait besoin d'un bon rafraîchissement . Les pièces sont sombres et l'éclairage des oeuvres est très mauvais. Intérêt surtout pour les scolaires je pense. Quelques pièces néanmoins sympa mais trop peu

Established in 1863, Central Museum is one of the oldest Museum in India.
Amazing place with a glimpse of the past filled with beautiful artifacts, dinosaur fossils, weapons and coins. The museum is very well maintained with ample parking space and cooperative management. There is a section dedicated to the history of Nagpur which was eye catching too.

The place where you can get knowledge about ancient artefacts, painting styles, different statues of Buddha, Bodisatvas etc. At the same time, about the anthropogical developments as well. Apart from all these, the architecture of the whole building is colonial, looks so great. Good place to enhance your knowledge about our surroundings. If you are a serious about museums and want a unique and intimate visit to a museum with Indian history, this place is for you.

It’s very big and amazingly detailed paintings and sculptures.
We spent one hour there to get a full appreciation of the presented collections.

Wonderful place, has plenty of things to explore with your friends and family. Many historical evidence of life,war equipment and arts are kept here for showcase few are even millione year old. Fabulous Artwork of painters is available to see not only this but also sculpture are shown with various aspects of respective time. Museum is centrally located near Vidhan Bhavan civil lines, Nagpur. The architectural building is very good looking from outside. It's beautifully colored. On entry you need to buy tickets (adult RS. 5 and kids RS. 3). It has few stuffed animals like lion, leopard, monkeys etc. It has collection of tools used by our ancestors. It has nice info about Nagpur and places of historical importance in Nagpur and vicinity. Paintings gallery is there and a sculpture section too. Overall nice little place to learn more about Nagpur and human civilization in general. The museum is not that great in terms of contents and can be further enriched. It has been recently renovated and there is no foul smell anymore. Nice work! Worth visit for kids!

One of the best place to showcase heritage of India as well as details about Animals and lost cultures. Very well maintained, nicely done, clean, photos without flash allowed with permission. Do Visit if you are in Nagpur, take your kids along, your family with you, they will like it. Best part is it is in the middle of the city.
