Needs a few more benches but over all a good commuter station with plenty of parking on the weekends at least.

I've been coming and going here for years. Plenty of parking and easy pick-up and drop-offs in front of the historic station. There are two sets of bathrooms and a vending machine inside the building (no coffee but a Starbucks a short walk away).

The station itself is for Amtrak trains -- Metrolink trains stop some yards further north. It has always been a safe and clean public space, but lately (and inevitably) homeless people have begun hanging out there, littering and stinking up up the waiting room as they mutter and giggle to themselves. There are guards who patrol the grounds but they either can't or won't do anything to keep them away. Ditto the police, so far.

A sign of the times.

Edit: It has gotten much better since I posted the above comment earlier this year. The persistent homeless and their litter are gone, at least as of May, 2021.

Free 72 hour parking. Easy access to platforms. Warm clean waiting area indoors. Not really staffed but it is a small station. Vastly prefer over Union Station though.

Historic Glendale Station has served the community since 1924, and has since become a regional transportation hub. You can catch Amtrak Surfliner trains that travel from San Diego to San Luis Obispo, the Amtrak Coast Starlight which travels to Seattle, as well as Metrolink trains that travel all over Southern California (it is only a short 10 minute ride to Downtown Los Angeles Union Station) Also, bus service is provided by the Glendale Bee Line, Greyhound, and LA MTA busses.

Ticketing machine was out of order, the techs were trying to fix it, they suggested I buy the ticket on the app which I did and then I received by email saying that I should print it.... obviously I don’t have how to print it... them I decided to buy a bottle of water which costs $1.50, It had option to use card or cash, I tried card and a message said that option was blocked at that time so I put in the machine $5.00 and it only gives $0.50 change.... and there is no one there or number to call.... this place is a ghost station... couple other people were trying to get information about their train trip but there is no one here....
