I had 2 weeks training at Ritchies on the tower cranes.
I really enjoyed my training, it was relaxed, enjoyable and I learned alot from Paul my instructor ? his knowledge has really helped me now that I've got work.
Everything covered in the training is so far what I've been doing and it's spot on.
I've got a few licences under my belt and having a good, calm, knowledgeable instructor makes a massive difference to your learning experience so you can absorb everything you're being taught!
I can't thank Paul enough for being a fantastic instructor ?
If I could go back in time to redo my training! I wouldn't change a thing.
Making the trip to Ritchies in Glasgow is 100% worth it.

Did my C+E course here last May. I had wee Jimmy as an instructor. He put me at ease within the first 5 minutes. He has an extensive knowledge of the Glasgow road network.

He was eager to pass on tips and tricks and made it a very enjoyable experience. The staff were very friendly and all seemed genuinely happy to hear how our training was going and ultimately if we passed. Thanks also to Dave for the pep talk on the morning of the test.

If your looking for a LGV training provider, don't look any further than Ritchies.

Passed my class 1 test first time with Ritchies after I made the jump from car.

Robert was absolutely brilliant throughout the entire 10 days and really helped me feel prepared for the test. He had a good sense of humor and pushed me to believe in my ability. His instruction was invaluable and worth every penny.

Also, all the instructors I spoke to here are all really friendly and happy to chat with you. It's just generally a really nice enviornment to learn in.

If you're looking for HGV training this is a really good place.

Passed my test today after spending 2 days at ritchies. My instructor kenny was brilliant. Absolute top man who made me feel welcome and at ease from the first moment i entered the building. His instructions were always clear and made it easy to take in and retain all the important information. And his encouragement throughout gave me the confidence to do my best especially on the day of my test. Great guy. Cheers mate!

This is a great place to learn new driving skills. I was there for class D bus driving. Eddie was a great trainer, he helped me develop my driving skills,his teaching was top drawer. All the staff encouraged me and the other trainees throughout the course, very curtious friendly at all times. Thankyou Eddie and all the staff to make it through and passing the course. Highly recommend them, again thanks, Mark Stwrling.

Just done a 5 day ADR and tanker course and passed first time with Ritchies. Dr David Ritchie was our tutor and it was incredible (even his eye opening videos to potential hazards ?) highly recommend them for any training needs

Went in for a PCV and CPC training. Booking process was sub optimal as they took £500 deposit and few days later I got email about them needing some more information. Basically they forgot to wrote down which course I'm booking myself for. Eddie was my instructor and his teaching methods were also sub optimal. Shouting, swearing doesn't create a good environment for learning. I could understand everything he said however sometimes his instructions were unclear and he would just shout the same instructor louder and louder rather than wording it differently. Other trainee, originally from Glasgow area felt the same.

Had to book a second practical test as I failed the first test. Legally you can't have a retest for three days however I had to phone few times a week to schedule this in and even then it got changed on last minute. It seems that communication is quite an issue in Ritchies. Done two hours of driving with Big Davie and Collin before the second test and both of them were excellent instructors. If you think about booking PCV make sure you get them or go somewhere else.

Passed my Class 2 and Forklift over the past 2 week with Ritchies. I honestly couldn’t have asked for better instructors Colin was fantastic and so patient from going to a driver with zero confidence to passing first time speaks volumes of how good this place is.
