Beautiful historic Spanish style station. It’s clean & easily accessible with free parking. There are security guards there but no staff for either Amtrak or Metro link.

Great experience. Love that there is restrooms and a cafe down stairs! The staff was friendly and everything was very clean. Nice views and places to put your baggage above you. Great first train ride and plus I got to see the ocean the whole time!

Extremely odd that a transit center of this size and connectivity to other transit modes doesn't have adequate facilities for people traveling with/on bikes. No bike parking anywhere* AND bikes not allowed inside? Despite both Metrolink and Amtrak being bike-friendly trains that encourage multi-modal transportation?

*if there is, in fact, bike parking here that i somehow missed, then perhaps wayfinding/signage should be better.

Love this station. It is classically one of the best Amtrak stations in the country absolutely beautiful old California style architecture. Very safe location monitoring is well done.

I love how the Santa Ana train station was used as a popular filming location for Rain Man with Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman who won an Academy Award for Best Actor. The movie was originally released on December 16th, 1988.

I just like waiting for a train here. The station architecture and the aesthetics of it all just makes me feel at ease for some reason. This station is an ideal location for the opening or end credits of a romantic comedy or drama. If you're ever passing by, don't hesitate to park your car and catch the train towards downtown LA or San Diego. You'll enjoy waiting here, at least I know I do.

Don’t arrive too early for the 6:01 Pacific Surfliner!! The doors didn’t open until about 5:25. The Uber driver left me there in the dark even after telling me it wasn’t a safe area. I left in a second Uber to just stay safe & got a coffee. Luckily a nearby Starbucks was open at 5am. There was a man with a suitcase waiting on the fountain when I arrived. I asked if he was waiting for a train…. No, he said.
Security guards had not even arrived yet.
There is no attendant inside. The guards guided me to the correct track. The bridge across has elevators but a woman was asleep in the down one (luckily not the up one) so I walked my suitcase down to the tracks. Once there, the schedule was posted & on time. The train itself is great but prepare for a menagerie of homeless inside & do not arrive before 5:30am!!!
